This manual provides guidance on a number of air traffic services (ATS) data link applications including automatic dependent surveillance-contract (ADS-C), controller-pilot data link communications (CPDLC), the provision, via data link, of data link flight information services (DFIS) as well as material pertaining to data link initiation capability (DLIC) and ATS interfacility data communication (AIDC).
