The Aviation Liability and Insurance course will provide aviation professionals, including regulators, operators and service providers, with the competencies to support their organization with issues related to risks and liabilities in civil aviation operations and activities, in line with the Chicago Convention and various international aviation liability treaties.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the fundamental principles of aviation insurance
- Identify the extent of liability for various aviation operations
- Identify legal and regulatory requirements for insurance coverage of certain risks and liabilities
- Identify appropriate risks, products and placing coverage to manage claims
- Apply strategies to mitigate risks through insurance
